Back in Australia now. I wasn't really hit by jet lag on my way to New York but I'm feeling it now back in Australia. Need to sleep now. I have much to talk about tomorrow.
Going back in time is always easier than going forward. I'm sure the Doctor could tell you this (he's a time traveler, right?). You were probably so excited coming to New York, too, that the adrenaline helped with the jet lag, whereas it's not quite as exciting to go home (and leave someone who loves you).
I think that's it. As I was flying to New York I was excited about New York (and more) but in the case of going back to Australia I wasn't feeling so enthusiastic.
Actually, Doctor Who was on my mind as I wandered around the airport at Dallas. Specially the ending of the 2006 season where The Doctor has to leave his lover Rose in a parallel universe and they have to say goodbye. (though thankfully America isn't really a parallel universe.. and it's just around the planet a bit so this was only a see you soon type of goodbye instead)
