This is gorgeous. The brokenness, the devastation, the fatalistic inevitability is so beautifully rendered here. Wonderful descriptive details breathe life into Sylar's final moments and I like how this feels just like something his brain would note -- all the details, small and big, that work together to create this death tableau ( ... )

OMG LT! Your comments never cease to blow me away and this is no exception.

I was trying really hard to be more descriptive with this fic. I tend to ignore the details of the external world a lot, focusing on inner states and dialog. I meant to include all five sense but I forgot smell. =( Oh well, my own sense of smell is such crap that it tends to slip my mind.

Mohinder exists as this almost otherworldly entity here
That wasn't so much a conscious choice as just how Sylar ended up seeing him. I'm glad you thought it worked.

Sylar knows he may be projecting what he wants Mohinder to be feeling, but maybe it's real.
I was toying with the idea of real dialog, but it just didn't feel right. I decided that the fuzziness of it all, the uncertainty, worked better, and I'm thrilled to see that you agree. =D

Thank you! *hugs*

the fatalistic inevitability

Ahaha, I used that exact phrase when I reviewed your latest fic a few hours ago. ~Great minds!~

You know you just have to give a big cookie to Zac Quinto for making such a reprehensible character into someone that you just can't help but sympathize with on some level and want to be redeemed. Aww, Sylar, so sad.

It's definitely the Quinto magic. I don't know how he does it.
