Oh! So it is! *laughs* Every time you mention the Waterbabies, I have this vision of teeny weeny highly miniaturized science-y bots in a pond with proportionately giant water lillies and koi and frogs and things, all rendered in that late Victorian watercolors for children style of the fairytale illustrations! (strategically placed plantlife to disguise the humanstyle genitalia they don't have and all)
This is adorable and not entirely inaccurate and I highly encourage its continuance. <333333333333
In related news, I have long had the ambition of doing robot paintings in the style of Maxfield Parrish - in no small part because some of the palettes in IDW have reminded me of his work. Very complementary colors-y and saturated. 8D
You've had a lot going on this week. Naps! Naps for you! *snugs*
Oooh, I love Avocets! We get them very rarely at my lake, but late summer/fall is when they should be showing up - the slightly upturned bill is how I tell them apart from the other shorebirds. I used to be reasonably good at identifying shorebirds, but I'm terribly rusty, lol.
ooooooh. We get a lot of shorebirds because we're right near a wetland preserve that has a lot of traffic - I bike through there a lot actually - but I'm no good at identifying them!
