Thank you! He is such a kid as his second self, it's awesome. (I have boatloads of barely supported speculation on the Doctor and his relative age! Like how he was totally the timelord equivalent of a teenage parent.)

It was too frustrating, still being nearly too young to be taken seriously and having all the aches and twinges of a body running down. Now he’d done it, he understood why so many decided to skip that first, distinctly physical, messily organic life span.
That. Is so awesome, and telling, and perfectly fitting and I don't know why it never occurred to me to think of him as being a teenybopper of a Time Lord but OMG YES! IT IS ALL SO CLEAR TO ME NOW. :DDD

He so is! HE IS BUCKING THE SYSTEM. *giggles* This is why I'm so excited about Eleven being played by Smith. I hadn't let myself hope for anyone, so the prospect of a Doctor who is finally over being a teenybopper and suddenly - finds everyone around him thinking that he is one...!

GLEE!!! Plus, his hands are just great. I did rather want the fellow who'd played the Whatsis of Carabosse or whoever that is, wow how specific and helpful my memory is; but then I saw an interview with Smith and I saw why they'd cast him. Wow. He's just got this energy! <33333

I am hoping he will have an older, accomplished academic woman for a companion, and people will think he is her student or possibly her cabana boy!
