I'm born in Ystad, south Sweden, and I work there. (Kenneth Branagh and Wallander, you know?) I live in Malmö. (Zlatan Ibrahimovich in FC Barcelona is from Malmö.) County of Scania. I don't look very Swedish, though, and there's probably some mix in me. :-)

My father's mother lived on Gotland, actually. Mom's family hailed from fishermen and sailors just outside of Ystad, so there's probably Polish and German blood involved too, far back. But yep, I'm Swedish. :-D

Wow and cool.

I am of Danish descent--my mom was born there, has lived here in the US of A since she was nine, and my grandmother actually still lives in Denmark, in a suburb of Copenhagen.

I visited Denmark a couple of times as a little girl.

I seriously thought you were American. But this is way better!

Heh, Malmö is neighbourtown to Köpenhamn/ København/ Copenhagen! OMG, I have Danish around me all the time! Colleagues, in-law's, friends etc! And now you! Davs du! X-D
