i am a very talented crafts(wo)man! yes indeed: my aquarium's air-lift pump has been losing performance for a couple of days now and i couldnt quite tell what the reason was. but today i brought along a new silicone tube and detached the whole air-lifter to clean all its insides, afterwards i changed the tube and installed everything back in place ( Read more... )

Aww babies! So far the breeder I am getting mine through has zero babies...so I may be getting my later an anticipated...which may be ok because I am having a hard time finding adorable decorations for my tank :(

its not so easy finding decorations that work in an axoltol tank, thats true - do you already have an idea of what you want the tank to look like?

My main thing is I am having a hard time finding hiding places for them. I may have to just make something. I've been working my my tank for about a month now. It used to be on a faux wood base so I stripped the hardware, changed it, and I painted it black to match my living room and I plan on putting a thin layer of black sand on the bottom with some nice big red and black rocks and maybe some slate. right now I have my rocks soaking in buckets so I can test the pH and make sure it wont alter my tanks pH once I put them in.
