I almost didn't start reading because of the 'bittersweet ending'. Real life is hard enough. I prefer a ride into the sunset. But now I'm really glad I did read your story as your ending is just that, the beginning of something new, the beginning of even more togetherness, infinite this time. Cas just crosses the line first, knowing Dean will follow soon and Dean will know the same, reading the journal. Your ending is perfect. 'This is us.' A perfect ending for an amazing tale. So you may call it 'bittersweet' and I'll call it perfect... anyway, thanks for sharing. I had a great time.

The whole "bittersweet ending" had me worried for a while, which was totally unnecessary, it was an excellent ending. :) Really enjoyed this, your descriptions felt so vivid and real!

Loved this! The way the journal was used throughout was a nice touch and the beginning with the staff and the ceremony was just kind of epic. The way Dean was waiting at Pastor Jim's was adorable and then his additions to the journal and the way Cas knew he would read that last entry just did all kinds of fluttery things to my shipper heart.

Even though we never really saw it in canon I LOVE fics in which Gabriel is an awesome older brother. Because I think Gabriel really could be. Family was so important to him that when they fell apart he had to run away because it broke his heart. So if he was given the chance to feel like he could trust someone, I think Gabriel would really be there for them. He would still be an annoying prank you kind of guy, but he wouldn't leave you in doubt that he cared.

Aaaaaand I'm massively rambling. But yeah. This was really fun to read so thank you for that.
