Work email is not working today. My entire job consists of responding to email. My boss can't access the database - a good portion of her job consists of accessing the database. My other boss has computer issues of the not understanding computers type

Boy can I ever relate. This past year or so they put in a Citrix server. We can now access all of our applications from this server instead of having them on our desktops, which required multiple licenses. Needless to say when Citrix is down - we can not do any of our work, whereas before each of us (there are 4 of us) were able to access something from our desktops.

I feel your pain....

Technology was not my friend today. Of course, I can't imagine trying to do my job without it so I can't really complain.. but yeesh today was evil.

Take deep breaths. (It's what I'm failing to do, so I thought I'd pass along the advice.)

Picture yourself by a mountain stream.

Cool, crisp air. Birdsong. Green leaves and flowers.

This place is utterly isolated--no one can see you; you are completely apart from the world. You can taste spring in the mountain air.

The water in the stream is fresh and cold. It bubbles soothingly.

You can clearly make out the face of the person who's head you're holding under the water.
