It takes me about 2.5 hours each way to get to my student in Georgetown.  (Yes, I know it seems silly and excessive.  The plan was to have more than one student there to make it worth the trek, but the universe seems to have other ideas.)

It also takes me about 2.5 hours each way to get to Manhattan.

Maybe I should be teaching up there.

I just got the Christmas card that my grandmother and aunt sent me.  *facepalm*

I promise to post about the awesomeness that was yesterday's concert but have to be a bit more serious than I am at the moment. :) In the interim, because it's fun:

Today's phrase of the day is "design element." Try it in a sentence with me. "The screwed up increase and the funny looking armhole bind-off are design elements, not mistakes!"

*sigh*

It feels awfully cold for the first day of spring, but hey, who am I to argue with nature? I doubt that it would do much good. Not that I didn't once have a penchant for engaging in useless arguments; I just feel like my energy is better spent in other realms these days. ;)
