[Colette had just opened our journals to comment on the bizarre teleporting incidents --

-- when she suddenly finds herself in... Good Spirits? Yes, right on the bar's counter top. She squeals as she tumbles over the stools and onto the floor.]

O-Ow... [Oh, we should probably apologize to the patrons. She flails her hands about, embarrassed.] ( Read more... )

[And just when Colette thinks things may have calmed down, a certain Seraph teleports into Good Spirits as well. Sadly, he ends up in mid-air and crashes face-first into one of those round tables. It topples over and he's soon buried underneath it. As harsh as it may have looked, the loud cursing shows he's still in one piece.]

Age isn't defined by numbers, or whether you're allowed to drink. You're only as old as you act. [He should know. Mithos was a 4000 year old bratty child.]

By how you act... [Thinks.] Then, what do you think, Yuan? Do you think I've grown up, at least a little?

... I think you still have a ways to go. [Because really, how well did he know Colette before he came to Luceti?]

...I'm sorry, Yuan. I'll try harder.

[Oh crap, he didn't mean to upset her. He just didn't want to lie to her.]

Don't worry about it. Just treasure your childhood while you still have it.

I try, Yuan, but... after all that's happened - after all the responsibility we've been given - it's just... disheartening, I guess. Like people don't think we can protect the world because we're so young.

[He sighs softly, leaning back against the table.] ... Children shouldn't be the ones out protecting the world from our mistakes in the first place. It's a mess we should be cleaning up ourselves.

But I don't mind! Protecting our world makes me happy, and it makes the others happy, too!

I think you'd be happier in a world that doesn't need protecting.

Our world is our world. I wouldn't trade it for any other one.

[He's strongly convinced that's only because Colette doesn't know any better, but he's already said enough blunt things to her today.]

If that's how you feel, there's no point in trying to change your mind.
