... which didn't compare to the empty feeling inside.

Sasuke somehow melded himself into his heart and refused to disappear.

He buries his face into his hands.

What has Sasuke ever brought him? Loneliness, desperation, need, anger.
And yet, a little voice reminded him of: happiness, acknowledgement, determination, and friendship.

NOTES;; please read? Dx
#0 - (Bonus track) Sung by Donna Lewis and Richard Marx. Whoa, you must, MUST watch this video - it made me teary-eyed. I thought that it would be a nice start to the mix; just something happy, fuzzy and optimistic before we move on to teh real angst! XD
#1 - I felt that this song was fitting. Although, on the outside, it looks like just another 'sex' song, it has another layer: loneliness. While the song's more obvious meaning says "Come and have sex with me", it also says "Stay with me, because I don't want to be alone". I hope it isn't too big a jump, from the bonus track to this one. :) Bear with me.
#2 - I thought that this song was kind of haunting. It reminded me of "Freakish", by Saves the Day, in a previous fanmix, except this song is a bit more er-- romantic. xD The song hints to something darker, I reckon ("fall around me now"). Perhaps they have to get through something difficult.
#3 - Definitely an edge of desire and creepiness in this song. But, god, I love it. :D This sounds exactly like the type of relationship that they'd have - inperfection, jealousy, and passion.
#4 - ONGZ!ITZ DA EMO KIDZ. D: Haha. This band really brings back memories of when I was 12 years old. xD I remember that 'emo' was so in back then (and still is), but I genuinely still like this song. It's kind of mixed-up frustration, helplessness, and longing.
#5 - I chose this song for one reason: the loyalty. No matter how much Sasuke betrays Naruto, he will always remain loyal to him "time after time", because Naruto's like that - and Sasuke knows it.
#6 - Whoa, I love this song. In fact, when I first discovered that it reminded me of Naruto and Sasuke I actually cried. Yeah, I get really emotional sometimes. xD So, this song switches it's PoV from Naruto, to Sasuke. I believe that - no matter what - Sasuke will always want to be with Naruto, after he's killed Itachi, of course. Why? He worries about him. Simple as that.
#7 - Hesitant to add this into the fanmix because I don't exactly love Michelle Branch. But I felt like it had the kind of confused obsession that Sasuke possesses.
#8 - This song is really special - I love her voice (and she's an Aussie, too. Extra kudos!) It's a really special song because I think Naruto and Sasuke only belong to each other.
#9 - This is definitely Naruto's song to Sasuke - with his optimism and determination to find Sasuke. One of the more happier songs on the mix. "As read as it seems, you're only in my dreams." 'Nuff said.
#10 - I think the main theme in this song is 'change'. How Sasuke has changed Naruto, how Naruto has changed Sasuke. How they both changed and affected everyone else. Plus, I love Mae. ;x
#11 - Eek, the perfect song to end this mix. It's so punk-rocky and catchy - I love it. This is Sasuke's song to Naruto, because not only does it reminisce, it also makes promises.
The End - I think this is kind of where Naruto and Sasuke are now; with Sasuke being away, with Naruto wishing and wondering.

This might be the last NaruSasu fanmix I make. Argh - who am I kidding?! It isn't. D: I'm close to finishing a Sasuke fanmix, which has strong traces of SasuNaru, especially. I can't help it - it originally started out as an Emo!Sasuke mix, but it turned out to be more of a Naruto-I-Can't-Get-You-Out-Of-My-Head-Emo!Sasuke and Sasuke-You-Bastard-I-Will-Never-Forgive-You!Naruto mix. o_O So Naruto won't be as forgiving in the fanmix. Heheh.
I'm also planning a NaruSaku mix! Hooray! This pairing needs way more love. It's almost done but it's as angsty as this mix. Oh, noes. And, finally, I'm starting a Sakura fanmix because I got inspired a while ago. It's coming along slowly (I only have, like, 5 songs so far), but I'm hoping to get it finished... by the end of the year. xD It's about Sakura, and her non-romantic feelings for Sasuke. Because I suck at making single character fanmixes.
