The third season finale of Friday Night Lights aired on DirectTv last night, and I have not been able to bring myself to look for a download because I'm pretty sure that it will not get renewed next season and knowing that this episode is probably the last episode ever makes me so sad that I want to prolong it as long as I can stand. Oh man, I'm so psyched it's coming back on NBC so I can watch! THE SECOND SEASON BUMMED ME OUT SO HARD. It's awesome they're just ignoring it.

A++++++++ to this post. God, I just downloaded the season finale of season three and I'm so excited to watch it but also terrified because a) it will make me cry and I already have a cold and those are levels of kleenex usage I'd rather not achieve, and b) exactly what you said, it might be the last episode of this show ever (nogodnoselfdon'tsaythat) and, yeah. I'm not prepared to lose this renewed genius from my life yet.

Of course, season 3 also entirely forgets to mention Santiago or wassname Christian boy or wassname Smash's white gf. Which I wouldn't mind so much except Santiago was getting a lot of time and then he just... disappears? WTF?

I hope that's not too spoilery.

I could have dealt with much of S2 if not for how BADLY they handled the murder storyline. For one thing, how come nobody else noticed that it was going on? There was more social uproar in S1 about Lyla cheating on Jason with Tim than there was about Landry KILLING SOMEONE. It should have had massive effects on the high-school social dynamic, and instead? Nothing. Pfffft. So annoying.

Anyway, great wrapup. I have seen 10 eps of S3, and I'm scared to watch the rest. Then it'll be over!

I cannot believe I forgot all about Santiago. He's totally the Waverly of season 3.
