I do think the show gets that Sean is the hugest asshole in the world. I think? I dunno, but yeah.

Wilbur makes a couple of appearances, but Connor is nowhere to be seen! I don't even think they mention him - to the point that at one point Sean references his "three kids" and for a second, neither Caleb nor I remembered that Connor existed.

I had a complete love/hate relationship with this season - and now that you've brought up Eva, I totally miss her. She's, oddly, the least complicated girlfriend Matt has ever had.

yesterday i watched the reality television episode and there was one scene where the baby is crying in the background and i was like, dude, i didn't even realize they brought the baby to los angeles! (speaking of which, do julia and olivia EVER GO BACK TO NEW YORK WHERE THEY ALLEGEDLY LIVE?) it almost would have made more sense if they'd, like, left the baby with erica when they came out to LA.

we're five seasons in, and i still can't figure out whether or not the show realizes that its over-arcing theme is "christian seems like an asshole, but sean is a bigger asshole than christian will ever, ever, ever be."

still better at both expressing love and fucking than sean will ever beYes and yes. I actually didn't think it was possible to make Sean into even more of an asshole than he already is, but this season they really accomplished it. I HATE HIM! yeah, i think this is the biggest problem. the show does seem to get that sean is a huge asshole, but it really bothers me that no one ON the show seems to get that sean is an asshole. i guess that's part of the twisted co-dependency of sean and christian's relationship: christian's so busy playing the part of the asshole that sean could be strangling kittens and no one would notice.
