i got a new debit card but i forgot to tell livejournal, which caused my paid account to briefly cancel itself this weekend, and the only active icons i had at my disposal were my default, this one, this one, this one and this one. it's like livejournal can READ MY MIND and knows that not so secretly, all i want to post about is baseball ( Read more... )

Boy Least Likely To = twee-est band ever. (Plus there's the bonus Rashida Jones connection.)

Recently I was talking to someone (my age!) who not only hadn't heard of the Arcade Fire, but hadn't heard of WILCO. What???

re: twee-ness: the shins? the weepies, maybe? I'm drawing a total blank at the moment.

I am so thankful to ciderpress for introducing me to that album (she's also 1/4 of the reason I'm here through friendsfriends, the other 3/4 being cspan, min, and phin).

I've never thought of anyone but Belle and Sebastian as twee, but I can see The Lucksmiths and Stars as such. Death Cab doesn't seem at all twee to me, and Postal Service even less so. Which...is exactly 0 help for the mix CD.

Your idea of scar as horcrux is brilliant, and would definitely alter his magical powers, even if he didn't lose them completely. And, oh, wow, does that idea play SO PERFECTLY with a post-war fic I've been outlining, because Harry not having the scar is pivotal. Would you mind if I used the idea, assuming it doesn't become canon, with proper credit? Because, seriously, of your theories above, this story involves Harry not having the scar, losing or not using his magical powers (but having at least some remnant of them), and using time travel to avoid his celebrity post-war (living in the Muggle world helps with that).

Yep, I agree with this as well. I fully expect all those things to happen (along w/ Snape to be redeemed and then die anyway) but I don't really trust her. She's made enough dumb decisions along the way.

Though, I really don't think she'll kill him off. They're building a theme park for heaven's sake.
