OH MY GOSH NOW THAT ENDING WAS CREEPY. o.O I applaud your use of the Salem Witch Trials, though. I thought it was quite funny that Jane was accused of being a witch. If he had lived back then he probably would have been. That Red John was a church leader is even creepier. That's pretty much like having the devil himself behind the pulpit. :P (I think RJ's the one with the demon inside him, imo.)

And RJ would kill Jane--or have him killed--so he could get to Lisbon. CREEPY. Something wicked this way comes....

When I had first started planning the period piece for 15genres1prompt, I knew right away that I wanted to write the Salem Witch Trials (my favorite part of American history.) However, I had no idea how I wanted to end the piece until I had started writing it! (the creepy ending amused me so much, I wrote it until I felt I had it right.)

He probably would have been, so yay for accuracies. ;)
