Actually, it looks like there might be a bird on the tree (blue thing that's cut off in the photo) that's probably about to poop on the guy, prompting him to say, "go ahead. Everyone else does."

Aha, now I see the bird. Well, leave it to me to think of the weirdest possible option! Personally, I like the idea of a friendly tree that's used to people leaning on it more than the idea of a miserable guy who is used to being figuratively dumped on by everyone, but you are most right. :)
