Hey sorry I took so long..to anyone who actually reads my reviews.
Anyway I'm going to do the past episodes altogether.
Let me just say I AM WORRIED for this show! It was going well but its falling into a pattern. The said pattern being that each episode has the same over all plot, they find a crewmen and a civilian close to said crewman gets infected. While this is an okay over all plot the single episode only plots need to be better developed.
This friday's episode looks good, hopefully it will break the little pattern problem.
Characters: The characters however seem to be progressing nicely. Lucas had a good character development moment when Arthur convinced him to go to the club and it was hilarious when he was talking to T.J and then he said [not actual quote] 'okay now onto more important things, help me pick a font' and all those cards appeared on the screen, the look on T.J's face was hilarious. The flirting between Cavanaugh and Caffrey has becaome more obvious and its cute. Caffery's attachment to the teenager in the last episode was a good way to show a more human side of her as well as a fatherly side to T.J when he talks about his son.
One thing with the characters however is that they need to be balanced out on screen time. Caffery and Cavanaugh get the most time and thats okay, but the directors can't seem to pick where they want to put the other characters. They'll show up for five minutes in one part of the episode then disappear untill the end. If they want to boast a cast this big they need to figure out the screen time for each character.
Writing: The writing is staying well and true, not getting any better but its not getting any worse either.
Direction: The direction is tending to repeat like the plot.
Acting: the actors are doing a good job, their characters are developing better and their believable. They seem to be doing what they can woth the plot but behavior patterns are begining to show.
Style: the style of the show is great! It always has been, but it will always depend on the plot. things need to stay fresh and the style will fade with the plot. The dreams are still well done but its going to get old fast unless they change it up.
over all the plot needs serious work or it won't last the season. But I'm hopefull!
