SO JUSTIFIED). hooray! and in the back is, of course, an excerpt from steelhands. it's the first ten pages of the book, which is the very first pov, which is adamo's! so i've gone ahead

LOVE. So much love. Adamo is badass (although I'm still not over his first name being Owen, of all things. I keep getting Torchwood flashbacks.) and I kind of love that he calls Royston Roy. And I really want there to be a scene where he's in the same room as Royston and Hal, because he'll be so awkward about it and it'll be great.

SO THEORY: Adamo hooks up with the female narrator whose name I can't recall at the moment, since her fiance seems pretty clearly gay and I doubt that's going to work out, and the age difference between them is even worse than Royston and Hal's. And Royston will never let him live it down, and it will be awesome.

Or, y'know, not.

I really like that idea. I admit, when Royston first broached the subject I toyed with the same theory for a moment. It would be probably pretty awesome. Also, I know I'm being a bad fangirl (har), but I kind of really hope that Adamo ISN'T gay; I don't want this happy universe going all unrealistically homocentric on us. Besides, if he were gay, him and Roy would totally be a thing. Duh.

It seems like that comment must be foreshadowing something, doesn't it? Honestly, Adamo has always seemed really really straight to me. I dunno. My headcanon is that he and Royston had it off sometime back in their 'Versity days, and Adamo decided it really wasn't for him, leaving Royston temporarily heartbroken. But that's just me xD

Can you BELIEVE that I have a friend whose mtoher won't let her read these books because she says that Jaida used her fanfiction as a tool to gather fans. What utter bullshit! Jaida is a great writer (as is Dani) and THAT's why she had fans in the begin with. I LOVE HER SO MUCH TOO OMGOMG
