I don't have an answer for your question, but I think a childhood!Malahide and Dmitri fic would be awesome, you should definitely write it.

Well, I don't think so, considering she thinks that she thought that Dmitri would be the first to find out, which indicates that he doesn't know? Idk. But heck, screw canon, bring us more of that childhood fic! *lame XD*

She only said that she was "a little girl" when she had it done, so probably before she went to the orphanage. In fact, I'm assuming that's why she was put there-- so that the Esar could keep an eye on her. Why else would a "nobody" like her be cared for so well? And doesn't she mention something about when Dmitri first showed up there?

Ah, thanks so much! Yeah, what you say makes sense, he'd definitely be able to keep an eye on her there if that's where his illegitimate son is...
