Late shifts are not my friend

Why is it no matter how early I have to get up in the morning or how long I have been awake, I just can't seem to come to terms with going to bed. Every second week now i have to do late shifts till 9pm. This however does not mean I get to sleep in. The Little munchkin still needs attention at 6 in the morning doesnt she, and the big munchkin is

Though not on the same scale as you, 2 weeks out of 6 weeks i work later (9.30-5.30, instead of 8.30-4.30) and for those two weeks i just can't get into the extra hour's sleep in, i still wake-up at 6.45 and lie there in a netherworld and i think i wake up worse. The plus side is that i go to work with Alison for those two weeks.
