Sam is with Chellsie
“Chellsie? And Sam? What’s going on here?” Alicia asked, still in shock.
“Ace, don’t be mad,” Chellsie said calmly, walking towards Alicia with a kind look in her eyes. “Sammie and I are in love. It’s okay.”
“Please don’t tell Marta!” Sam begged, tears in her eyes. “She’ll kick Chellsie off the team and I’ll never be able to see her again!”
Alicia couldn’t breathe. They were in love? They were in love? As tempting as it was to tell Marta for precisely the reasons Sam was worried about, Alicia knew she could never do it. Sam deserved to be happy, and if it wasn’t with her, so be it.
Nodding and searching Sam’s eyes in vain for any signs that this was a huge joke, Alicia blinked back tears, “I won’t, Sammie. I promise.”
