YES. Basically, this movie was perfect. Well...as close to perfect as a film adaptation can get when a book has SOFUCKINGMUCH in it. The only things I missed were: -Remus trying to abandon Tonks (as much as I hate bitch!Remus, its IMPORTANT, DAMMIT) -Dudley actually being cool for once when the Dursleys leave -Potterwatch -Being nice to Kreacher. (Again, I hate Kreacher, but it's IMPORTANT) -Dean and Ted Tonks and all that. But if you had to cut something, that would be the thing to cut. So, pretty much Grimmauld Place and other random barely important stuff lol
And I kinda wish they woulda spent some time with Bill in Shell Cottage, or at least explained where the hell they were on the random beach, but ya know...again, that would be the thing to cut.
Every other HP movie since Azkaban has left me with lists long enough to be an essay for Snape of stuff I didn't like. This movie was...yeah. Amazing. <3
I think we're gonna get way more Shell Cottage in DH2, since that's basically where it cut off/ended. and also I read that they filmed Dudley Being Cool but it got cut from the end version for some reason, so hopefully we'll at least have it on the deleted scenes somewhere ♥
YES YES ALL OF THIS. Except for the few missed bits, which I whispered to my friend who hadn't read the books (fool) it was epic.
And it made me realise how good JKR was for writing that legend. And how they matched it up with Eastern-European-esque puppet-esque things but still managed to make it look magical, but also just a bit like muggle folktales.
And I also love how vintage/70s the wedding and the ministry were.
