SLAVE 限定 GIG (all I got to see of it ;_;)
Oh, the surprise SLAVE 限定 GIG. By surprise, I mean, announced a mere 3 weeks beforehand (this, in contrast to the 25th Anniversary show 3 days later, which was announced in December, the 2 arena shows at the end of the year, announced in February, and the full 16-city tour from June thru NEXT MARCH, announced at the end of March). And at BLITZ, no less- a venue of only 1300. And this after last year's SLAVE GIG was moved from NHK Hall (cap. 3800) to Ryogoku Kokugikan (13,000) since so many people couldn't get tickets. But hey, apparently this year they don't care too much about who can & can't get tickets, 'cause the 25th Anniversary show (a 1-off, and the only shows announced at first) was barely over 13,000 as well (and this after selling out THREE DAYS at Tokyo Dome a few years back, and pretty much instantly at that), and the 32-show hall tour are almost all ~2000 (except for the Tokyo final at Kokusai Forum Hall A at 5012), with the first 2 (near Tokyo) among the smallest. So yeah. The entries were made, The Girl ended up getting a ticket, I didn't. orz

On the off chance of being able to hear anything from outside, and to hang out w/ any other possible fellow fan/friends who didn't get in, I ended up hanging out at the side of the venue. For a few brief bits of the first song I could actually hear fairly well, but this was only while people were still going into the inner doors- once everyone was fully inside & the inner doors stayed closed, there was barely more than a low, muffled rumble, and when I came back out from the adjoining Starbucks, the outside side door had been closed as well, leaving pretty much just dead silence. Ended up running into a few familiar session people, so we sat & talked, and then collectively freaked out at Girl's sporadic text updates during the encore break, which included another set of SLAVE限定/黒服 shows, the soonest of which would be less than a month later >_<; Oh, LUNA SEA, how you torture me with ticket anxiety- WHY OH WHY are you doing this at the cap. 2500 Diver City when there are easily at least FIVE TIMES that many SLAVEs in Tokyo?! Might have to apply for Osaka and/or other cities as they're announced if we don't end up getting in. Damn you, scarcity!

Anyway. Girl emerged from the show w/ moar details about the upcoming 黒服 shows, as well as a setlist (true to the "Premiere of A WILL", since they played the full album in order, lol) w/ soundboard notes (still haven't figured out what the numbers are for), so all was not lost! And at least we'd managed (after both our SLAVE and PYRO pre-orders and about 10 more general pre-orders FAILed) to actually score tickets to the Yoyogi show thanks to a friend of a friend (PYROs FTW!).
