I've always loved that name game :) dougygyro October 19 2009, 18:34:52 UTC
My character with Mad Sal's was Philip Ander (Phil Ander, for short).

As far as Irish surnames I can think of that would work for this game, they would all have to start with Mac-, as in "Hell In My" $Word_Beginning_With_C

Hellen MacCroatch
Hellen MacHunt, which I think my favorite thus far. I'll keep thinking.

Excellent. Not for me- but I'll bring that up- someone will take it I have no doubt- both Ora and Leigh being fine British Victorian names. :)

I think Irish is Mc, and Mac is Scottish.

small distinction but could be relevant...

I like Helen DeSaque or something like that...

Both Mc and Mac exist on both sides of the Irish sea, but you are right there's a slight preference for Mc- in Ireland and Mac- in Scotland.

Although, it might be fun to work on Nhic- gaelic for "daughter of"... although I dunno exactly how to work that into a joke. :)

I like that one, and it works as can can was vaguely legitimized by the excuse "it's French". A Frenchish stage name would make sense.
