Time is doing odd and slippery things again. My memory fades in and out- past pieces become dreams, the present is stretching on forever, things happen so fast, and I simultaniously want to race ahead to the next moment and pause to enjoy the beauty of this one.

You can do that you know :) However, it is easier to enjoy the moments as they come.

I thought I'd go look and see if anyone out in the lj universe was interested in tightrope walking, and I found your journal! With your tightrope walker username--very cool!

I am not a tightrope walker, but it would be fun to be one. I am practicing on guardrails.

I've had the very experience you've described in this entry, too! It's pleasant and disorienting, both, to me.

Guard rails are good for that. I haven't had access to a good rope in a long while, so I mostly stay content with those. Ropes have the habit of moving back and froth and sagging though. The trick is to let your knees go wobbling with them, and to keep you body centered over your legs.

As to slippery time and such (and your booklist), I recomend reading "Fire in the Head" by Tom Cowin, "Grandfather" by Tom Brown, and a few others if you're curious after that. There is a lot of silliness and bs published about what people call magic and otherworlds, and very few books that get anywhere near it. Those do.

I will definitely check out Fire in the Head! I looked it up on Amazon, and it looks like something I'd really like. Thanks for the recommendation!

I'm going to friend you, okay?

Sure. :) Grandfather is a hard one to describe, but very worthwhile too. It's a few stories from the lifelong travels of an 80-year old Indian man, from Alaska to South America, from east coast to west. Spiritual journeys and lessons, life and survival experiences and lessons. Good stuff.

I visited your webpage. Your art work is impressive. I consider myself to have been attacked in a good way at Valhalla. I feel fortunate to have made your acquaintance.
