I really hate when people try to promote their shit in completely inappropriate spaces. I double hate when people try to get you to vote for them in some kind of internet popularity contest. I triple hate it when people try to promote themselves to keep a top ranking in something

I am so pissed about that. Because that's like FIVE years of posts, links, and other really great material just BAHLETED because the mod got called on her shit. I know she started the community, but she was never involved, never did any basic mod maintenance or LET anyone step up to be a co-mod so that troll comments or tags or basic stuff could get done. But she finds the time to make posts/links/graphics to promote her "baby blog" (GAG ME WITH A SPORK).

Oh, and the point of that promotion is if her blog gets a top ranking, more companies offer her free baby/kid stuff to endorse on her blog. So basically, it was "help me get free stuff!" on a community that was about journaling. And I feel bad because a lot of folks in that comm were people who didn't think they could journal until they tried, who found a lot of artistic/creative talent they didn't realize they had. I mean, there were some really touching posts there. And GONE.
