In Chuck Palahniuk's Invisible Monsters, one of the characters explains how the only way to ever truly free yourself, the only way to ever advance yourself, is to completely destroy yourself. It's necessary to shed everything that you are and that you love in order to become what you must be.

thats crazy because i have chuck Palahnuik's invisible monsters sitting on my bookshelf in line to be read. I need to read that next because apparently it is very appropriate for my life right now.
