[So there's confirmation. There's a little sob before Kaylee cuts the audio off.]

Kaylee.

[Long silence.]

There's nothing I can say that will make this easier. But if you want to talk... or drink... you know how to find me.

Is this something you'll be doing regularly? It's right depressing.

Once a month.

It beats never knowing. I don't know where the Hell Feferi Peixes is, but she's still got someone looking for her. If she'd been relased, and they hadn't heard...

Fuck if I know. She's still alive though.

She'd damned well better be.

I had no idea... And you can't say anymore about it, can you?

Kid, I don't know anything more about it.

I'm sorry. My roommate was one of this batch as well.

Wait. What do you mean by "released"? I can gather from the definition and the context, but still, humor me.

Vanished. Same way we appear. The island government knows the moment it happens, bot nobody else has ever seen it. Maybe half the time they show up later with their memory of the island gone. The other half, we never see again.

Can't remember having a month this nasty before, though.

Some government THIS is. They don't even have the decency to let you know when people leave or how they do it.

[There's a long pause.]

Really nasty. I guess... it never occurred to me that people could leave just as easily as they were brought here. I was too focused on the "brought here" part.

It comes as a shock to everyone. It's the biggest bitch about living here, no doubt. Never mind the crazy midnights or the bi-monthly "hallucinations."

Is it just me or are these lists getting longer?
