(But Murphy's not the only one who's late.)

It had taken her ages to find the stupid wig, even more to find the stupid nail polish, and for whatever reason it had taken her even longer to apply the stupid thing. Her hands had been trembling, thoughts making themselves known by the way the nail polish applied itself to anything but her nails. She'd fixed it in the end, though. After all, she had... experience. Potentially non-existent experience, but experience nonetheless.

So she's here now - in disguise, but she's here - and she's making her way up the steps wearing something she would usually never wear - the epitome of plain, ugh - and to be honest she's wondering what in the world she's getting herself into.

But she doesn't mind, whatever it is, because this is bound to make things more interesting, right?

(Right.)

A bell above the door jingles and she steps inside.

"Murph!" Now that's a comforting sight. More so because his brother looks the same as he remembers, just like he himself does -- and Smecker might, minus the gaudy clothes. One more piece of evidence that they're not all just fuckin' going crazy and it's the world that's going crazy around them -- not much better, but better.

"Took you fuckin' long enough." Connor looks between his brother and the mess, hesitating for a second, then deciding that the mess takes precedence when he hears someone coming through the door. Now that can't look normal, everything scattered everywhere --

"Sorry for knockin' the stand over, I'll pick it all up," he calls toward Smecker, glancing back over his shoulder at the girl that's just come in -- and noting the red-red nails -- but hell, it could be any girl, right? Better not to take chances. "Looks like you got a customer."

"Fashionably so." He says, and Smecker's about to make some comment about their happy little reunion but-- the door is opening again.

"Can I help you?" He asks, picking his way round Connor and his spread of papers, glancing at Murphy as he slides past. He doesn't recognise the girl, but then again he didn't recognise anyone else and that didn't stand for much. He'd been told other people were coming, but that was no reason to let his guard down now- trouble already is all they need.

"Mm, you can."

So they're an interesting bunch. The mess on the floor, the faces, the establishment - very ordinary, of course. You place them in the context of a not-so-secret meeting, though, and well. They could mean anything. They could be signs, and they could be absolutely everywhere.

Speaking of signs -

"You don't happen to have any dream dictionaries, do you?"

And Misa really can't get any more obvious than that. She knows she's walking on thin ice - extremely thin, because heck, the creepy white-haired kid might have a point and this could all just be some grand trap by whoever caused the explosion or something like that - but still. It's the first thing that pops into her head, though it might not be the best.

Then again, they're probably more paranoid than she is, so she makes a show of checking her nails.

You know. Just in case.

[ ooc: she'll be in disguise the entire time, I'm just going to be using other icons besides the one where she's actually in the said disguise~ ]

Dreams, check. Nails, check. Right gender, about the right age... can't be a coincidence any more. Or well, it could, but if it comes down to it, the three of them versus one girl -- but if she really is an innocent, then -- look, better to just not think about that.

"Think I saw some back there," Connor says, jerking a thumb toward the back of the store (can't really talk where people walking past could barge in on them sounding crazy now, can they), "an' I'd show you but I'm a little busy -- hey Murph, why don't you'n S--, uh, Paul here escort her? You know what Ma says about respectin' ladies."

And toward the girl, he adds: "Don't worry. Murph knows everythin' I do." A grin. "Even the stuff I only think I know."
