Welcome to Canada! Good you're in Montreal if you need to be in Quebec. I swear to god, it's the only semi-sane place in the whole damn province. It's pretty, too. Do go to the botanical gardens if you get the chance because they are just beautiful.

I got out of the airport, and like the very first ting I saw was a Tim Hortons and a giant billboard/poster of Carey Price, so I was pleased to find some expectations met right away. I wish I could go, but I barely have any free time-- last night I got to walk around the Festival of Laughs a bit, but otherwise, sigh.

Last night I also gorged on poutine and I'm not even sorry. I REGRET NOTHING.

Ahhh, Timmies. Even now, the Hubby is Jonesing for his tea and he's only been awake for 20 minutes. Truth be told though, Country Style makes much better doughnuts, specially since Timmies has gone to frozen dough. But Timmies white pomegranate tea is really quite nice and they do a rather good chili.

I regret to admit it, but I did not eat or drink at a single Tim Hortons while I was there. I meant to, I really did, I just never got aorund to it since my life was basically wake up at five, spend fourteen hours in the convention center, stagger back to the hotel and eat and whatever restaurant was closest, and then go to sleep.

I enjoyed the cheese curds. They surprised all of us, since half of us were expecting something more like cottage cheese, and the other half were expecting something like the melted cheese you get on cheese fries here, but they were unlike either!

I'm ashamed to admit that 'seduced away to tumblr' is my main trouble with keeping LJ updated. Good to hear from you. I hope those fires aren't causing too much trouble!

See, I'm pretty indifferent to tumblr and keep forgetting I even have one-- the only reason I feel off lj for a couple months was sheer laziness and a superstitious belief that I was going to jinx my hockey team because I stopped posting right around the time they started improving. Thanks! (I owe you shit, I'm pretty sure. I've you've already done your podfic, I apologize. But if you haven't, let me know and I'll send you the things.)

I haven't even used my LJ in nearly four years, everyone I know is on Tumblr, Facebook, or both... and yet I STILL find myself wandering back here now and then to laugh at your drabbles, rambing, and goofy fics about the FF7 boys. Keep up the great work.

Aww, thanks! That makes me happy. FF7 is still my favorite fandom, the one my heart can't ever quit.
