So make a move, because I ain't got all night

Apparently it's Lurker Amnesty Day, or something? I don't know, I'm trying to dig my ass out from under two and a half feet of snow. If you lurk, please feel free to say hello in the comments. I am in general a very unthreatening and laidback person. The majority of the charges for public drunkenness and lewdness were dropped, and that thing with ( Read more... )

As a Snowpocalypse victim, this might entertain you.

The final Calvin & Hobbes strip is sort-of ironic in this context, really...

It does, although I find myself about to be clobbered by another storm tomorrow. Argh.

It is! Though I'm really glad he ended it on a playful, upbeat note. I couldn't ask for a better ending than to believe that they're still out there, exploring. (It's why that damn Lio strip annoyed me so much when it made fun of the Calvin and Hobbes ending strip.)

Howdy! Long-time lurker, first-time commenter. My LJ is pathetically empty and used for stalking purposes, so please feel free not to bother with it. You rock and I am both amazed and terrified of your writing talents, and sadly enough I have been stalking- er- lurking around your lj for about a million years. And now that I have used up my bravery quota for the year, I shall post and run bye!

Oh, I can't help but bother, and I'm intrigued you're into Supernatural. (Supernatural is one of my sleeper fandoms: I watch it, I love reading it, I have barely any writing drive for it. Well, maybe one or two story ideas. It's kind of nice, actually; I feel I can ejoy the fandom without getting too involved.)

Come by and say hello again! I always like hearing from people.

Well, since you asked for lurkers, I can't resist the call. Especially because you mentioned that that organ thing was in international waters, and I can't hold it against you. I do in fact lurk here and read the things you post on up. I'm hoping that I can absorb some of the 'interesting'.

International waters totally doesn't count. I use that excuse almost as much as the five second rule. I'm glad you like the posts! And that you like XuQu. It is a woefully underpopulated pairing. Quistis was the best thing about FF8 for me.

I know, right? I'm kinda ashamed of myself for not knowing this fact that I've run into many times!

Lurker Amnesty Day? That sounds... both promising and potentially dangerous. Either way, I'm officially de-lurking ^^

Two and a half feet? You disappoint me. It's been snowing for two days nonstop where I am, and it's supposed to snow tomorrow, too. Not to mention two years ago when the snow was halfway up my car door and school was cancelled for a whole week... And now I'm nostalgic, dammit.

Anyway, a hot bath does wonders for snow-sore muscles, good luck with internet and power, and thanks for the awesome links!

I have no idea! I don't really need an excuse to encourage people to talk to me, but if doing it under the aegis of an official day makes people happy or more likely, so be it.

Hey, two and a half feet is nothing to be disappointed over in an area where getting six inches is fairly uncommon. For us, it's not a matter of the snow being halfway up the car door, it's that the whole damn entire car is under snow. I'm vaguely hoping in a sort of depressed way, that we'll actually hit fifty inches.

I do indeed love a good hot bath, and have been indulging in such copiously. In fact, I think I may just set up camp in my bathtub and not emerge until spring. Glad you liked the links, and that you came by to say hello!

Fifty inches would be unfun, yeah. I know the record for my hometown is 78, but that's cause I had the urge to look it up XD

Oh man. I think I would kill to just hibernate in a bathtub. We need to invent one that will keep the water hot without it running, so we can sleep in it and not have to worry about drowning or huge water bills or... anything. Yeah. I'mma go... lurk more XD

Well, we did break our city's record that's stood for over a hundred years, so I think we can call it a day.

In that case, it sounds as though the best thing to do is set up funding for the development of some kind of merperson technology. I'll kick in five bucks.
