I had the choice of writing about weddings, suicides, pomegranates, or Reno. So I picked weddings. There’s, like, pictures; I’m just warning you. I might lock the entry later, just because of the family photos.

N'AAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW That's so cute :3 The bride looks tiny and is very pretty. Her dress looked really nice too. Also your brothers are pretty cute :P Those Czech traditions sound crazy! Sweeping up shards, kidnapping the bride... no simple western wedding for Czech people! :D

I'm an SG:A fan. I like it better than SG1 but less than Supernatural, however given that I currently love Supernatural an incredible amount because it's fucking awesome, that doesn't say a lot. Uh. I think it's pretty good, and before Supernatural came along SGA was top dog out of my shows.

The bride is so tiny! I always feel like I’m going to accidentally break her when I hug her. My brothers, heh. Folks tell me that, but since we’re related I suppose I have a hard time seeing it. The Cxech traditions did seem weird, but they were a lot of fun-I suppose to them, some of the Western things, like the groom yanking off the bride’s garter with his teeth, seemed just as weird.

Ahh. Well, maybe I’ll look into it! It seems kind of interesting, and Wikipedia makes it sound like it’s got some good stuff to dig around in. I’ve never seen SG1 before either; is that going to make things difficult?

As long as you know what a stargate is, you should be okay. You might have a bit of trouble during Season 3, they sort of mix it up a bit with SG1 Season 10, but Wiki should take care of anything you don't really get (or I can explain things if you'd prefer, although I still haven't seen past SG1 season 9 episode 4 yet).

I still can’t believe that the whole wedding managed to go off without anything ending up on fire.

Actually, I WAS going to hunt you down to ask if you wouldn’t mind reading it over for me. (It’s the Reno thing.) There’s some bits that I’m not sure if they seem extraneous or not, and I’m having my usual titling woes, and trying to find a really good closing last line and… yeah. I agree with Flidget. And also, you almost got me into big trouble for laughing out loud like crazy at work. I managed to contain myself...just. But still there were many stupid grins that prompted weird looks. I should know better than to read any of your posts at work.

Stargate Atlantis is....ok. There's lots of potential that is rarely ever lived up to, and a lot of very shady ethics by our heroes that isn't ever addressed. On the other hand, McCay is one of the best characters ever, so awesome & snarky.

Yeah, a lot of folks have said, “OMG, Rodney McKay’s snark will p0wn you!” which interested me because, hey, I like snark. And Sheppard is apparently a cool guy, and there’s spaceships, so. The general consensus seems to be coming back fairly positive. I’m willing to put the show into the To Watch queue.
