You're right about Pooh. He was a willy, nilly, silly old bear.

As far as destinies goes, this is sort of a random one.

It most certainly is. And I do apologize. You're the kind of person who deserves a superhero type destiny, I think. But that begs the question, I guess, if you were a superhero, who would you be? I think I might actually be a sidekick. Y'know? Like, Robin. Doomed to wear yellow tights and say things like "Holy guacamole, Batman! That's not a mummy, that's a burrito." Obviously, I would be the animated Robin that used to guest star on Scooby Doo. Only on crack.

My point being, I'd like a song please. :)

So you might as well have a good time thorne_scratch May 14 2006, 17:06:12 UTC
He so was. He put a lot of effort into his rhymes.

I don't think I would be a very good superhero. Probably, I'd be more one of those second-tier villains with the really weird MO. But that is so very flattering, so thank you! With Robin, also, he was working those little bootie things. I mean, there were the tights, there were the leotards, and there were the booties, any of which were damning enough on their own, but in combination were just the epitome of crack.

Okay, so, you know what? I was totally going to give you the Wille Nelson's "Cowboys Are Frequently Secretly Fond of Each Other" but I figured you might have it already. Instead, I'm shooting Cake - Sheep Go To Heaven your way, because it's such a Monday morning song, for anyone who has a job that they don't necessarily love going to.

I'm sorry that it's not very emo in the way you like emo, but it has the wry humor I associate with you. Of course, if you already have that one, you get another song.

Uh, yeah. I think I sorta feel you on the hepatitis bit. Three uncles, one aunt, and a friend-of-a-friend. Always makes me tempted to look up how long that childhood vaccination I got lasts. And then I forget, because hey, memory of a goldfish!

Maybe it's a personal thing, but to me, Dylan always sounds like he's strung out and been up far too late.

One roommate, one aunt, one uncle, three cousins. It's enough to make me OCD about washing my hands. But I have shared unnerving intimacy with at least two of the list, and nothing's come of it so it's all good.

I think one of my favorite bits of trivia about Dylan is that he wrote "Mr. Tambourine Man" on a road trip he took with some friends from New York to San Francisco. They smoked lots of marijuana along the way, replenishing their stash at post offices where they had mailed pot along the way. That just makes me laugh, because it illustrates a good bit of thinking ahead that most potheads usually don't go in for.

I sort of fear what song you associate with me.

Now I have this vision of all three clones in the same car, being pulled over on the highway ala Super Troopers.

Cloud: Pull it over!
Loz: Pull it over!
Kadaj: We're already pulled over!!!
Yazoo: Pull it over man! Pull it over!
Kadaj: We're already pulled over! I'm totally freaking out!!!

Do you have anyone else you think should do a cover of 'Ring of Fire'? I think Cake might be able to do something interesting there.

You know what song I associate with you this week? "Big Rock Candy Mountain" from the O Brother soundtrack. But I'm 99% sure you already have it, so I'm rustling through, trying to find you something. Hmm. How's about a preview of the Jarhead soundtrack I really should send you? Thomas Newman's Welcome to the Suck and Listen Up, which are similar instrumental songs for getting ready to blow shit up.

Oh God. Loz would be the one who they would make eat all the mushrooms to hide them. "The snozzberries taste just like snozzberries!"

If I had my way, ALL my favorite bands would be required to do a cover of Ring of Fire. Cake WOULD be interesting.

You already have, like, nearly all the songs I associate you with! But you're totally a fun and energetic song, so I'm really hoping you don't already have Cherry Poppin Daddies - Zoot Suit Riot.

Kadaj sounds like he's been smoking PCP-laced crack. I'd pat his head if I weren't so sure he'd bite the shit out of my hand.

Ah, well, I hope you like it then!

And yeah, I don't want to think about what sort of diseases the clones are carrying. You get nipped once, then you're down for the count with an advanced case of incesticitis and dumbfuckery... uh, citis.

I swear having my own server space has been the best decision I've ever made in life. Not that my brain allows me to make many good decisions, but anyway, I'll take whatever song you associate with me, and then maybe I'll whip out some that remind me of you.

It is very handy, I admit. I just wanted to see if yousendit was any good. Also, I wasn't sure how mnay people would want music, honestly.

Hmm. I think you have a lot of the songs I associate you with, so I'm going to see if you like Robbie Williams - Road to Mandalay. It just has a feel to it that I get from your writing, sometimes-- contradictory sound and words in an entirely good way. If you've got it or don't like it, please feel free to get a refund!
