where do the bad folks go when they die

So, everyone's all talking about Harry Potter. I want to talk about Revenge of the Sith for a moment, because I realize I never did.

I'm re-reading already and the thing about re-reading is it's getting very hard not to scream 'OMG U BIACH!' everytime Tonks is mentioned.

Being mature about this would take out all the fun.

Oh, totally. I mean, I thought about putting in a disclaimer about how I realize folks like certain pairings for a variety of reasons and that's cool with me, but I don't like certain pairings just for the simple reason that they're not the pairing I want them to be.

I love you anyway, baby. Although I do like looking at your icon.

I've been rereading. I often find myself growling under my breath at certain bits, although I have not actually tossed the book around yet.

-I still want to know more about how wizard portraits work, what with the death of the wizard. Has JKR spoken about that?

Yeah, I want to know too. Thought it rather convenient he was ASLEEP when we first saw him. Yeah, right after my gruesome cursedfallingfromgreatheightsthankstofellowstaffmember death, I'd be sleeping too.

I was confused about another thing, actually -- there was a portrait (Phineas, I think) who left Hogwarts and went to Grimmauld Place to see what was going on over there. Do photographs do that, too? In which case, how can a person have multiple photographs or portraits? And if you can talk to them, aren't they kind of like soul-splitting objects anyway? Or is it a mere imprint? In which case, does the imprint only retain the memories it had at the time it was taken/painted, in which case can it not take on new memories the way Tom Riddle: The Diary did?

Oh, my head exploded. [looks sadly at the floor] Time to get the Ajax out...

I agree. I'd be up for a nap too.

Photographs can go offscreen, sort of, but I don't think they mentioned if they could go into other photographs? They probably would have mentioned it. Plus, the portraits talk and the photos don't, so. I have no idea as to the answers of all your questions, but I'd love to know too. My head shall probably be joined the pieces of yours on the floor. Blargh.

And woad. Clarly there should be woad. And see, I don't mind HP fanfic about the adults or about the kids knocking boots when they're older. But things like Snape bending Harry over a cauldron at eleven years old? I'm out of there, man, and possibly taking a prolonged shower.

I think Harry's given Draco back several good knocks, but I'm just surprised no one's making up scenarios where Draco, I don't know, violently molested Harry before leaving him on the train. Not that I particularly want to see that; I'm just surprised no one's taken it and run with it.

Palpatine touches Anakin's forehead as he's lying there, dying, in something a lot like a caress of actual affection. I found that to be the singularly most creepy image in the whole film.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that. And for me, the single most creepy image in the movie was Padme wearing half a chandelier to bed. wtf?!

Yeah, I meant to comment on that. You can just tell that whoever came up with that nightgown had way too much time on their hands. Pearl straps? Jeebus.

Dude, that wasn't creepy, that was fucking hilarious. All of her outfits were, although I was glad to see their nod to their cinnamon roll hairstyle. Genetics prevail!

Yeah, the kiddie death, while I'm usually all for wanton massacre of the little screaming ones, was REALLY out of the blue. "Join me!" "no!" "Join me!" "NO!" Join Me" "eh, sure, why not..." "Go kill 5 year olds." "Got nothign better to do.."!? That and Palpatine went on and on about being able to save padme, and that was the WHOLE reason that Anakin went evil, and then Palpatine was like: "Oh, yeah, about that... can't really do it, but I'm sure the TWO of us, we can do it." WTF!? Back up there, Sparky... All in all it was better than the first two, except that Jar Jar that computer generated inbred bastard spawned mutate lived. Couldn't Lucas for our sakes just drop something on him randomly. Just once. I think that Jar Jar was donig the director... that's the only way his orange ass survived.

I haven't actually read HBP, yet. Figured in a few weeks I'd just borrow a copy from everybody else, lol.

You remain a BAD BAD MAN. But yeah, I agree with you. Pacing there, buddy. Pace yourself. The dark Side is supposed to be a gradual slide. And I didn't really care about Jar Jar in the last scene, because he didn't say anything and you saw him for, what, five seconds if that. Although, him sleeping with the director? Heh.

yeah, I was expecting a little more of the drug dealer get the 4th grader hooked on smack, a little here and a little there, give you a dimebag for free, then another for their lunch money, another if they beat upsome little Twi-lek for them, and then like a year later they wake up and realize they're surrounded by the smoking corpses of young padawan.

And I agree, the scenes of Anakin leading the stormtroopers, I found myself singing along to the music by it was more: "Badass! I'm a Badass! Oh, yes I am!"

Heh. The Dark Side is totally a slippery slope. But the baby Jedi, man. They were hiding behind chairs. Anakin was always big on feeling for people on a personal level-- look at his views on slavery-- so I just don't think he'd go off on them like that.

I'd sing if I had a cool cloak and theme music like that.
