The airlines* being kinda miffed about this volcanic eruption have apparently looked into ways of stopping Eyjafjallajökull erupting. They have made suggestions. Said suggestions involve blowing a channel from hither to yon in the mountain to reduce the ash cloud, or simply blowing the whole damn mountain. In case you didn't know, Eyjafjallajökull
