Specifically, I will type this now and write it down with ink & paper later as the class in question requires that I keep a journal.

I'm taking an acting class. This is the first acting class I've ever taken that isn't an improv class. I've been meaning to take an acting class for years out of a sense I've always had that I don't know what the hell ( Read more... )

I've never performed Shakespeare. I love Shakespeare but have never had the confidence to actually perform it.

I know when to turn, I know when to shift my weight, I know how to use the terrain to my advantage.

I feel this way, too. People like to speak academically about comedy and I can't really do it. I just know how to be funny.

I think speaking academically about comedy is like speaking academically about feelings. Some things you can't just throw description at. It either is or is not.

I think this is a terrific step for you, TC. This actually inspires me to want to take acting classes, something I've wanted to do ever since first coming to shows. Plus, you know: Ladley and Craig weren't always about the funny. You had some serious moments in there, and I always thought they were good.

I think you're better than you think you are, but kudos for improving. You make me proud.
