My personal favorite was pulled by Iko at the horrible place we used to work. Only works for hunt-and-peck typers. He switched the M & N keys on the keyboard one of our bosses used. Her password had an N in it. The touch type tech guy got right in of course.
I know this guy who once worked for me. He was a Vietnam vet, and his mental and physical pain tolarance was sky-high. But at the time, he was working in another department, and because his tolerance was so high they put him on the Project From Hell.
His (self-applied) nickname was "Bubba", because he looked like... well... Bubba.
This project was to test international keyboard drivers. Basically he spent all day looking at a keyboard, looking at a keyboard map on a peice of paper, clicking a key and seeing if it all matched up.
(Hunt.. peck... click... check...repeat)
For 6 fucking months (IIRC).
Towards the end of which he wandered up and said something like "Please move me to your department. Or shoot me. I don't care".
I felt that it was one of the better acts of my life to get him out of that position and into testing fantasy role playing games.
