It is almost 4 in the morning. I am lying supine on my bed, being held down by cat gravity on my chest, and dictating into my Android "smart" phone. I am up much too late, but I have just finished rereading King David's Spaceship by Jerry Pournelle, which I bought this time from the library - I guess it was a donation - for 25¢ or 50¢.

It seems that one Radagast the Brown (of Rhosgobel & The Cabot Institute) has published a paper presenting the results of his climate simulation modelling for Middle-earth. Though obviously mock-serious, the modelling and the science are real enough. ( Read more... )

I just finished reading Diane Duane's Wizard's Dilemma, the fourth or fifth in her Young Wizards series. Boy, that is GOOD. I'm pretty sure I haven't read it before - I would remember - so I must've read one of the later ones out of order.
