Alex Rider? A book series?

I like Artemis Fowl. Would you reccomend Alex Rider?

I should have explained it more clearly; Alex Rider doesn't really have anything to do with Artemis Fowl, but a girl at a forum who liked Artemis Fowl recommended Alex Rider (on a completely random note, both series have been crossed over with each other numerous times at ff.net) Sorry about the confusion ^^;;

I'm not good at recommending things to people; I don't want them to end up hating it and blaming wasted money on me XD;; The whole idea behind the series seems a little cliched... a boy loses his uncle, finds out said uncle was a spy, and becomes a spy himself. However, I find the books really good, at least for a quick read, so you may want to see if you can check out the first book before buying the others. The first one is Stormbreaker, and the entire series is by Anthony Horowitz.
