The stars - it's funny. I had glow-in-the-dark stars on my ceiling back in New York. Then my dorm rooms at Smith and the University of Edinburgh had glow-in-the-dark stars on the ceiling. I've no idea who put them there, but I've decided that glow-in-the-dark stars are a sign that I'm where I should be. And when I was really little, I used to pretend there was an entranceway to a magic kingdom under my bed. So, that's kind of where the idea came from.

I love the idea of Harry traveling. The poor kid's had such a limited view of the world. He's been to Privet Drive, Hogwarts, Grimmauld Place, and the Burrow - and that's pretty much it except for his seventh year. He needs to see more.

Sigh. So much love for this story. So much love. I loved Neville, and Luna... and Ron and Hermione. But Harry and Ginny clinched the deal for me. They're sweet together. Harry's so bumbling but noble and Ginny's loyal and quirky and mature and...
