First of all! I love that you took the quote about Geoffrey and applied it to Constance too! And the summary is one of those rare perfect summaries. How did you make me love something so much in 740 words?
The details of characterization - like, the list is a perfect expansion of Geoffrey's character, and Constance's reaction to Eleanor on the boat fleshes her out even more - are so stirring and impressive. And I love their interaction. I always will.
As for casting. I'm kind of in love with Emmanuelle Béart these days. It may just be that talking. But, from another generation, Frieda Inescort.

But anyway! I'm so glad you liked this! And so glad you requested this. I enjoyed examining Geoffrey through Constance's eyes. And examining Constance. I'd thought, at first, that she'd turn out a bit fiercer, but she's still rather young.
Thank you!!
Kind of randomly, I learned about this epic poem from the 19th century, in which Alais dresses in armor and goes to fight in the crusades - on Saladin's side! That's so ridiculously, bizarrely awesome, that I kind of want to get my paws on it.

Well, I've made a Plantagenet fic tag because I do intend to write more. nextian wants a ficlet, and I'd kind of like to explore Constance's later years.
