You know, I say this really and truly and not in a suckup way: you're one of the best fanfic writers I know. Have you got any book you're working on? (Very sorry if you have and you've talked about it and I missed it; I can't remember half the things I wish I remembered.)
Oh, tell me if your TMOV audience has a reaction to Antonio and Bassanio kissing! With mine there was a sort of very subtle, very quiet but still definite "oh" noise throughout the audience.

And no, I don't have a book in progress. Yet. I had been toying with this idea, but it never panned out. Just as well, as I was borrowing pretty blatantly from many of the books I was reading at the time. But I like some of the characters, so I don't know. I may take them and use them in something else.
I was talking with someone last week about a sequel - sort of - to A Separate Peace, in which adult!Gene becomes a teacher and falls in love with one of his students, who reminds him of Phineas, and it's set during the Vietnam War.
Sometimes I think I lack the discipline to sit down and really write. I need to get over that. *sigh*
But your words are really encouraging. I'm very flattered. :)
The audience didn't react at all to the A/B kiss. I was sitting all the way in the back so there weren't many people around me, but no. And I wondered if there would be. I like that the director added the kiss, as well as Antonio's look of despair at the end, when Bassanio leaves with Portia.

I like to think that Roger does have a little time left, and that in it, he and Mark are honest with each other.
I think that comes across; I definitely get that impression.
I still adore this fic, so much. ♥!

I think I had a reason for why they didn't just take him to the hospital, but now I don't remember it. Possibly, he objected. Quite probably he had no insurance. Though the Cohens would probably have offered to pay.
I think Roger would hate to be in the hospital too. I mean everyone does, but like you say here:
Roger accepts his mortality. Heh. In the musical he sort of embraced it at first.
Even after Mimi, at this point in your story when there's nothing to be done he'd probably rather be at the Cohen's anyway.
Oh, Roger. You're not very tactful are you, honey?
Heh. He's trying to help his pal out while he still can, no time for tact. :)
Thank for sharing, I enjoyed reading your thoughts on this.
