taking prompts (sort of)

It's possible I've taken too much upon myself. Whatever. I plan on spending a good part of the weekend finishing this one charity auction fic, then starting my Big Bang. So I shouldn't even being doing this, but here is my hc_bingo card.

Under the cut, so as not to stretch anyone's layout )

Top line thoughtses: I loved your take on mpreg a while back. I'd be interested to see how you'd handle "de-age" as a serious, non-cracky topic. "hostages" would be really suitable for Trek. Hostage situation, character of your choice (Kirk? Uhura?) has to negotiate, perhaps while organising a stealthy rescue mission, and it doesn't go well. Perhaps one hostage is killed but the rest make it out okay. Whoever was in charge will then need to be comforted and reassured that zie did everything possible, and probably saved the lives of all the surviving hostages. "bullet wounds" says Kirk/McCoy to me. Old-fashioned doctoring! Grumbling about old-fashioned weapons! And perhaps it's McCoy who's shot, and he has to talk Jim through treating the wound? (Or, and I feel guilty even for suggesting this, perhaps it was Sulu who accidentally shot someone with one of his antique guns, and he needs reassuring that it was an accident?) "Minor illness", hmm... perhaps McCoy has a minor cold or flu or something, it's barely bothering him, ( ... )

"major illness": I'm not sure how I feel about this one, but it's my personal head-canon that McCoy's father's illness happened long after his divorce--his father seemed elderly in that flashback, and De Kelley didn't seem to me to be playing his massively younger self. So i think that illness is still to come. Which means that Spock Prime could potentially warn McCoy before his father's even diagnosed, as well as (maybe) informing him who does eventually develop the cure. It might become possible to save his father--if his father will let him. And Jim could be by his side all the way. The problem I see is that such a fic is likely to be either extremely depressing or unrealistically happy-ended, you know?

I can see that. It makes sense in terms of the TOS time line. I know Karl Urban has hypothesized that Bones is upset partly because of his father's recent death, but that isn't canon.

I was thinking David McCoy might be the attempted suicide. He tries and fails, and then he asks Leonard for help. That's a really heavy prompt, though. I don't know if I could manage it. So many of these ideas could easily lead to long, complicated stories. And they only have to be 500 words.

Scars? What about some combination of Tunny/Will/Extraordinary Girl? Plus loss of limb totally works for them too?

Ooh, I hadn't thought of Tunny! That would be perfect for the loss of limb. And threesomes solve everything. :)

Forced soulbonding would be hysterical between Spock and Bones.

And dude, I want that sheet. That looks AWESOME.
