Summary: He's still pretty bad at putting his thoughts into words. She's okay with that, though. (Post-movie.)

I love the idea of Janice being totally kick-ass, albeit in a somewhat understated way. She did have a few brief moments on TOS, but not nearly enough.

The Trek ones are delightful! Spock conceding a point to McCoy is probably the best gift he could give him. :-P

Rand is awesome, with a lot more oomph than I've ever seen from her, and Kirk's voice was just so perfect it made me ache (although not half as much as he is, I'm sure). The second one really felt like TOS in all the best ways, and McCoy's expression at the end matched my own. I really love those two, and their chemistry, and you completely brought it to life.

Thank you! I kind of see Rand as being super-efficient and secretly kick-ass, but in kind of an understated way. She comes through in a pinch.

*g* As for the last one, I got about two paragraphs in before I realized I was writing TOS instead of AOS. They're the same characters, but I just kept seeing De's blue eyes and huge grin. As much as I love Karl and Zach, De and Leonard were there first.

Ooh, those were all nicely polished little gems. I love the Simon/Kaylee piece, it sounded just like them. And the last McCoy/Spock piece did feel very TOS version of the two. I can just see De's grin on that one.

Yeah, I had written maybe two paragraphs before I realized I was writing TOS, not AOS. Which is fine - De was my first Trek love.

I love the "gift" Spock gave McCoy, by conceding the point. :) Also - excellent and appropriate quote for the Enterprise crew.
