I bought groceries (salad! apples! mmmm!) and mopped the floor. I am a hero. I have done nothing else productive today. :)

Well, there's this:

End of the Year Fic Meme )

Maybe I didn't comment on them (because I am a bad, bad person), but I loved your Pern!fic this year!

I always wait until January before doing this meme, because I have three fics right now that are currently anon, four counting Yuletide. I enjoy doing it, though!

Thank you. :)

It's disappointing not to get comments since I figure people aren't reading, but with old fandoms like Pern ... eh. It's to be expected and it's not a big deal. :P

There's a chance I may write another story before New Years, but Yuletide has left me fic'd out, so ... I figured I'd just do it. And I was feeling retrospective.

not to be annoying, but I think you might have missed closing a bold tag somewhere?

I loved Pern so much when I was in high school. I can't remember the canon well enough to read your stories here, but just the fact that they're around makes me want to dig out the books and read them again. Maybe they are lurking about my apartment somewhere...

The books are so much fun to revisit. Uh, as I discovered back in January and February. I mean, they're not good books, but the relationship between dragon and rider is so beautifully rendered that it kind of elevates them. And hey, if you can ignore the sexism and the classism and the homophobia and the other unfortunate implications... :)

I LOVE these retrospective memes, and oh, you have a gift for titles, you do.

I never felt like I did. Sometimes good titles just leap out at me. Most of the time, it's a real struggle. :P Thanks!

I think my favorite of yours for the year has to be Heading Straight for a Fall, precisely because of the wrong omg.

(and also apparently I don't have an embarrassment squick at all.)

Poor Bones. But ... yeah. I kinda love the way Winona turned out in that story. And it all worked out! (Well, not for Winnie. I need to find a boyfriend for her. It's time she forgave herself.)

Pike?

Okay, maybe that's a little too neatly wrapped. But I do love Pike/Winona something fierce.

I thought about that. (*g* I'm not sure how Jim would feel, though he does think of Pike as a father figure, the one he was able to save.)

She'll probably date some nice Starfleet scientist guy and they'll be geeky together and she'll embarrass Jim by showing off his baby pictures (which she carries with her, of course).

He has already forgiven her, I've decided. He just hasn't said it. She's having trouble forgiving herself.

I know that "Next Time" is one of my favorite Trek fics, and I'm certainly grateful that you were so prevalent in the first mainstream fandom I've gotten into for a long time. I hope it keeps up. <3
