And another thing, of all of the babies I have had some proximity to who have died in the past several years (knew the parents, or had one degree of separation from parents), all deaths from SIDS, not a SINGLE BABY was illegitimate. All of these babies' parents were married.

More depressing and obnoxious than anything she says (I've heard so much worse) is the little gem of a fact that people listen to her. She blows out chunks of words and I'm readily indifferent because I know it's pure stupidity, but some jack-hole somewhere is mouth-open-wide in instant belief to what she says and THAT hurts ever so much more. I like to think of her as being a total fraud and joke who's real purpose is to bring attention to the misinformation and general ignorance floating around because it makes me feel like she has a genuine purpose (maybe even one worthy of praise) but reality comes crashing in when I see that she's not telling these dipshits that they are...you know...dipshits.

Also, I understand the importance behind disproving claims, but I don't even see a point here. If you're stupid enough to believe that legitimacy has any real impact as to whether or not your child will survive, then logic is probably highly ineffective to you and you are unlikely to even spend the time to read anything that brings doubt into your beliefs. A few seconds of designated consideration and those not blind will see that any connection between the two is highly irrational. Certainly there are babies that have died that are illegitimate, but there is no reason to conclude it as an affecting factor. Improper parenting? Sure? Unmarried parents? What possible constituent could this be, in of itself? The two do not go hand in hand, you can clearly have one without the other so there isn't any discernible premise to attribute results from one to the other.

But I guess it just comes naturally to fight it, as I went ahead and argued right along with the both of you.
