I figured I'd do a CR  post for Ophelia, side character or not. <3 COME. LOVE YOUR PRINCIPAL.

SO. Ophelia's the one who suggested/marketed the co-ed situation at the school, is a fairly well-known socialite among families in Connecticut and even parts of New York, and she like, loves everything. She's constantly mothering her students, doesn't play ( Read more... )

TEA TIIIME~ ♥

I doubt Locrine would ever be able to say no to this woman and probably does his best to please her. And he loves Paddington. Of course.

OH GOOD. <3 LOCRINE, DUCKLING, MEET ME IN THE GARDENS BEHIND THE FACULTY OFFICES FOR TEA AROUND 2, I FOUND A BAKERY WITH DELICIOUS TARTS AND BROUGHT SOME IN.

Can anyone say no to her? She mother-hens Locrine all the time, especially since he's so sweet and is one of her former students. She's constantly open to talks for anything, too, and won't ever dare divulge them (ON HER PRIDE AS PRINCIPAL. AND FRIEND.) and would feel horribly guilty if there was something she could have helped prevent or whatever. She's probably also bound to bring him back SOME souvenir eventually. <3

Also, omg Locrine is Paddington's best head of hair to nibble on forever. <3 Please don't yell at him if he goes for the books? :< They're so musty no one would ever notice if there's some holes punched in them right?

Riff's probably ups politeness and charm around her and puts up with her endearing nicknames and mother-henning VERY reluctantly (though he'd try not to show it). He's not used to such stuff. And her oddball events probably make him internally facepalm at times because dammit, now he has another thing to go look into.

He most likely knows Paddington but probably isn't a fan. Sorry :c.

RIFF WHAT IS THAT FACE FOR CHICKADEE? thistlefeathers September 10 2012, 00:26:41 UTC
It's okay, Riff. She definitely sat in on multiple student council meetings as the co-ed integration was going on, and continues to attend at least one meeting every other month, so no doubt he' seen her around often. Her mother-henning and nicknames are always 100% sincere, and she cares without strings attached. Which I imagine would really throw him for a loop?

olol That's why Locrine babysits Paddington all the time.

Uuuunfortunately, as kind as Ophelia tries to be to Luna, she's more or less going to shy away from her because she's a figure of authority. She might regard her with a smile if Ophelia notices her, but if she calls out to her Luna might seriously panic and run. Sob.

HOWEVER, she loves nature, so I can see her being very nice to Paddington.

Paddington is how Ophelia lures you in. :> She's a very benevolent authority figure though! She might just take Luna's shyness over authority as just overall shyness, full stop, and be really slow and gentle with approaching her?

That might work. If she makes enough gestures of kindness (small ones, big ones would scare her away) Luna might eventually soften up around her. She's really just not used to people of authority (teachers, principals, nurses, whatever) giving much of a damn about her because her previous teachers were all really cruel people who turned their backs while the students teased and bullied Luna. The principals made it worse by telling her parents that their daughter 'wasn't appropriate' for their school, sob.

Maybe Ophelia will be the one to change her mind, though!

Possibly! She's going to be more involved this time around (like Oscar for 2012, only not as mean and grumpy and she doesn't have the past he does), and is going to have A Talk with everyone once Locrine comes out about persona to her. Just be prepared with being invited to her office for tea as part of the group, as she'll check up on them every so often. She'll give the persona-users a friendly smile in the hall whenever possible, but she's too busy to get as involved one-on-one as she likes unless those students come to her specifically, and wouldn't want to make the other students and faculty suspicious of her doting on these individual kids.

Luna will be able to hide in the group and come to her when she's comfortable on her own.
