Sherlock Fanfic

May 06, 2013 17:30

So, I went looking for some decent Sherlock fanfiction about a week and a half ago and promptly became obsessed. It's a really good fandom. Anyway, there was a prompt last week at PROMPT_CRITICAL and I used it as springboard for this.

Title: Points of Divergence
Fandom: Sherlock (BBC)
Word count: 4,152
Prompt: Use the first sentence on page 10 of any fiction ( Read more... )

fanfic, sherlock

Wonderful! *wipes watering eyes*
The emotions are so raw and incredibly vivid!
You can feel them resonating right off the page through the monitor!
Bravo!

Brilliant. Please continue to dip into the fandom, have a swim in it, maybe take up residence somewhere - because your writing is great & I want more!

Holy shit! You're inspiring this rare foray out of my lurkerdom to comment, that's how good this unexpected fic is.

Wonderful lines:
"Sherlock puts his hands deep into his pockets. He makes them into fists, tight balls of no that hurt deep in the
joints."

This fic is a laser into the hearts of the characters.

Oh, wow, thank you! I'm an overall lurker myself, so that's really flattering. I'm glad you enjoyed that line... I could really see Sherlock doing that. It's such a nice feeling when someone reads something you've wrote and thinks the same thing.

Thank you for that really wonderful review. I'm always really curious about the effect of my tendency to have ridiculously long, run-on sentences. :) I'm glad it worked for you here.

I really think Mary needs to be the understanding, willing-to-share sort for things to work. And really, that makes it all even more sad, to be honest. Poor Sherlock, indeed.
