Yeah! When people heard I hadn't read the series before, a bunch of people recommended it to me. They were right! Even if I'm very late in reading it, I'm glad I am now.

I'm sure young people would! It was a very popular series, and seems to have aged mostly well. (Sometimes there are mentions of old TV shows and things like VCRs.)

The original covers are amusing at best, cringeworthy otherwise... Not even just the art on them, but the text blurbs.
