I love NPR (National Public Radio, like PBS for the radio). It's "smart people news" -- they'll spend as much time on a news story as it needs, not try to pigeonhole it into a 20 second window like other news stations/shows do. My alarm radio is set to NPR. I'm not sure about the riots either. I suppose it's just a young, angry thing... not that I can blame them at all. If that guy came to speak at my workplace, I'd sure want to yell as well.
But seriously, of all places in the entire world to go, Neo-Nazi wants to go to UC Berkeley?! I guess he'd want to go to Israel next...
I hate to say it, but I agree with your final paragraph. We need something that makes us come together as humans, no more of this race/sex/gender crap.

As far as I can tell the rioters and the student protesters were two different entities objecting the same thing. There was a call to disrupt the talk by left/antifa groups and they are different than the Berkeley students protesting. There's another call tonight to disrupt a different talk in new york.
'Provocateur' is my current least favourite word. The news yesterday kept using it to describe Milo. Fuck that shit.

I'm similar, but in a different way: I used to hate the local (state-level) news, now I love it because there's less chance of something Trump-related in it.
